Dr. Babak Raz
Dr. Raz enjoys all aspects of dentistry with special interests in endodontics, restorative, and implant dentistry. He believes that becoming a dentist has been one of the most rewarding decisions of his life—he’s committed to providing high-quality dental treatment, and developing long-term relationships with all of his patients.
A graduate from Dalhousie University’s Doctor of Dental Surgery program, Dr. Raz has a great passion for research and prior to starting his dental career, he earned a Master’s degree in Microbiology & Immunology with a focus on cancer biology. Dr. Raz is a part-time faculty member and instructor at Dalhousie Faculty of Dentistry, with multiple awards and publications in his resume.
Dr. Raz has been living in Halifax for almost 12 years, and when he’s not at the office or dental school, Dr. Raz can be found spending time with his wife, friends, and family. He enjoys skiing, playing tennis, photography, hiking, and travelling with his wife, Sahar.
Dr. Chris Uhlman
Dr. Uhlman has a keen interest in implant dentistry and enjoys helping patients explore the treatment opportunities that dental implants can provide. He spent almost twenty years in private practice in Halifax before founding Armview Dentistry in 2016.
Having grown up in Mahone Bay, Dr. Uhlman studied at Acadia University, graduating with a BSc in 1992, and went on to receive a BEd from St Mary’s University in 1993. After graduating from St. Mary’s, he studied dentistry at Dalhousie University, graduating with a DDS in 1998.
From 2000-2009 he served as a part-time instructor at the Dalhousie Dental School and is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, the Nova Scotia Dental Association, and the Atlantic Implant Study Club. A lifelong learner, he takes many continuing education courses in implantology and other areas of dentistry.
Dr. Uhlman currently lives in Clayton Park, and in his spare time, he enjoys travel, cooking, exercise, and skiing.
Dr. Allister Mason
Dr. Mason was born and raised in New Glasgow. A lifelong runner, Allister completed his B.Sc at Dalhousie, during which time he ran on the varsity track & field team. He went on to complete an M.Sc in Medical Physics before transitioning to dentistry where he graduated from Dalhousie Dental School in 2024. Allister then went out west to complete a one-year general practice residency at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. A strong believer in patient centered care, Allister is thrilled to be returning to his home province to practice and bring with him all the lessons he learned in BC! Outside of dentistry, Allister can be found running along the Halifax Waterfront or out on his red canoe with his girlfriend, Clara.
